Partner
Since
2003, Bill Gato has been President and Founding
Partner of Hispanic Digital Network (HDN),
HispaniMark's web design, web marketing and
online advertising network division.
During
his tenure, HDN became the largest Internet
advertising and hosting network of U.S. Hispanic
newspapers, magazines, radio stations and
portals. He is responsible for guiding and
implementing HDN's strategic vision, running
the division's day-to-day operations and securing
new business development, advertising sales
and financing for the network.
Gato is
also the Executive Vice-President of HispaniMark,
LLC, the parent company of five leading U.S.
Hispanic communications and information services
that include Hispanic PR Wire, Hispanic Digital
Network, LatinClips, ConTexto Latino and Hispanic
Market Pro.
Gato's
professional communications career spans more
than 16 years in print journalism, Hispanic
radio, advertising and Internet marketing.
Prior to HDN, Bill was the Creative Director/Advertising
Copywriter for three of South Florida's most-popular
Spanish-language radio stations, El Zol 95,
Romance 106.7 and Clasica 92, winning five
South Florida Achievement in Radio Awards
for these Spanish Broadcasting System (SBS)
stations.
Before
entering radio, he was a writer and radio
columnist for The Miami Herald between 1990
and 1994.
In 1993, he began writing the Herald's Radio
Column, which kept readers informed of the
programming, personality and ratings changes
in South Florida, one of the nation's most
competitive and constantly changing radio
markets. While at The Herald, he participated
in the team coverage of Hurricane Andrew that
won the 1993 Pulitzer Prize for Public Service.
Born
and raised in Miami of Cuban descent, Gato
has a Bachelor's degree in English from Florida
International University and an Associates
degree in Journalism from Miami-Dade Community
College.
